Aligned Health is here to make healthcare easy and accessible for you!

1. What is telemedicine, and how does it work?

Telemedicine is a way to connect with your healthcare provider through HIPAA secure video connection. You’ll receive care, advice, and even prescriptions — all within the comfort of your own home.

2. Is telemedicine the same as an in-person visit?

Yes, just more convenient! No waiting in germ filled waiting rooms or sitting in cold flimsy gowns in a small visit room. You get to see your physician from the comfort of your own home discussing your health concerns. We can handle a wide range of issues from sinus infections to mental health check-ins, with comfortable easy visits, diagnosis, and treatment – just virtually. Aligned Health gives you high quality care with modern day convenience: book, visit, and thrive!

3. What conditions can be treated via telemedicine?

  • Cold & flu symptoms

  • Allergies

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

  • Skin rashes

  • Anxiety, depression, OCD

  • Prescription refills

  • Annual visits

  • And more

4. Is there anything you don't treat? We don't prescribe controlled substances. That means we can't prescribe Adderall, Vyvanse, Xanax, or anything else like this. Not sure if your medication is a controlled substance? A quick google search will let you know if it is controlled in your state. We also can't prescribe Accutane; this has to be done by a board certified dermatologist. Lastly, if you are having a medical emergency, you need to call 911. 5. What technology do I need?

A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and internet is all you need. We use a HIPAA compliant Zoom interface. Once you book, you will receive a link to be able to join your secure visit.

6. How do I schedule a virtual visit?

It’s easy, simply click our booking link to schedule an appointment. You will be taken to a calendar to schedule. Provide payment. Once payment is submitted you will be sent our pre-appointment information to fill out before your visit. Be sure to provide a current email and phone number you have access to for us to send appointment reminders and links to join the video visit.

7. Is it secure and private?

Yes. Our telemedicine platform and electronic health records, Elation Health, is HIPAA-compliant, meaning your health information is encrypted and protected.

8. Do you accept insurance?

We do not currently accept insurance. We want to be able to provide high level care without the issues that come with accepting insurance. Many insurance plans now cover virtual visits. We can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if your plans covers telemedicine visits.

9. How much does it cost without insurance?

Aligned Health offers transparent, flat-rate pricing of $119 per visit. Our out-of-pocket costs are often lower than a traditional office visit.

10. Can I get a prescription or a doctor’s note?

Yes. If appropriate, your provider can send prescriptions to your local pharmacy and provide work or school notes.

11. How quickly are my prescriptions sent to the pharmacy? We send your prescriptions in real time during the visit. You will receive a text notification once your prescription is sent using RxInform.

12. Do you see children? Yes! Aligned Health Physicians can see all ages. We do need a parent or guardian present during the visit to give permission for us to see your little ones.

13. What if I need a physical exam or test?

Your doctor will let you know if you need an in-person follow-up for labs, imaging, or exams that can’t be done virtually.

14. Do you see people from everywhere?

Right now, we have physicians licensed in California, Colorado, and Hawaii. We are always adding more states. We can people who are physically locates in those states at the time of the visit.

Telemedicine is safe, simple, and convenient. It’s not a replacement for all care, but for many everyday health needs, it’s a smart, time-saving solution.
